UZES

A beautiful town with a strong Italian influence displaying important architecture such as the Duché, the Cathedral and its towers, as well as promenades and Piazzas. Uzès is famous for truffles, garlic, honey and the spectacular market every Saturday. LE PONT DU GARD

An amazing accomplishment of Roman architecture and engineering. This bridge is one of the best preserved monuments and was constructed as an aqueduct to supply Nîmes with water from a spring near Uzès in the 1st C. AD.

       
   

LA ROQUE SUR CEZE

Dramatic walks along the waterfalls of the Cèze river (Cascades du Sautadet) or take a refreshing swim further downstream. The picturesque village is built on a steep hill amongst Cote du Rhone vineyards. Also visit Gougargues with its canal and cafes in the shade of old plane trees.
